This Easter Dinosaurs Are Taking Over the North Yorkshire Moors Railway
All Aboard for a Prehistoric Adventure from April 18th - April 21st 2025
All Aboard for a Prehistoric Adventure! Dinosaurs Are Taking Over the North Yorkshire Moors Railway
Forget steam trains and scenic countryside views because this spring, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) is throwing it back 65 million years with a dinosaur-themed extravaganza. If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if you mixed T. rexes with trains, now’s your chance to find out.
What’s the Deal?
From April 18th to April 21st, 2025, the NYMR will be transformed into a Jurassic adventure, packed with dino-themed activities, live entertainment, and larger-than-life prehistoric creatures.
Expect to encounter roaring dinosaurs, get hands-on with interactive activities, and maybe even learn a thing or two about these ancient beasts as you ride the railway’s heritage steam trains through the stunning North Yorkshire Moors.
Dinosaur Highlights
Live Dino Encounters – Ever wanted to come face-to-face with a real-life (well, almost) dinosaur? Expect roaming raptors and giant T. rex surprises along the way.
Interactive Fossil Hunts – Budding paleontologists, this one’s for you! Dig for fossils, uncover ancient secrets, and maybe even discover a new species (or at least a really cool rock).
Theatrical Performances – Watch dinosaurs come to life through immersive storytelling and live-action performances that are as fun as they are educational.
Steam-Powered Time Travel – Okay, so the NYMR isn’t exactly a time machine, but it will transport you through some of the most beautiful landscapes in Yorkshire, all while dinosaurs roam the station platforms.
Perfect for Families & Dino Fans of All Ages
This isn’t just for kids who can name every dinosaur from A to Z—it’s a full-on, family-friendly experience. Whether you’re a Jurassic Park superfan, a train enthusiast, or just looking for a unique day out, this event promises to be an unforgettable mix of history, adventure, and giant, scaly creatures.
