Rodd & Gunn - A Touch of New Zealand in York
Find out all you need to know about this new shop coming to Stonegate soon.
If you're anything like me, you'll love a bit of quality and style, though my wife may disagree as I am usually not allowed to clothes shop unsupervised. Anyway I've heard there is a new shop opening up in York that's called Rodd & Gunn. It's not from round here, but it’s bringing a touch of Kiwi class to our city.
What's the Story?
Rodd & Gunn is a men’s fashion brand from New Zealand. They've been around for a while, since 1946, when they first started stitching English Pointers onto shirts. The brand really took off in 1987 when they opened their first shop in Auckland. Since then they've been obsessed with making quality garments that they say are built to last. Now they are branching out across the world.
Where to find it when it opens
When it opens you'll find the new Rodd & Gunn store at 18-20 Stonegate. That’s right in the heart of York and it's a great spot for a shop alongside some of the other mens brands.
What to Expect Inside
Quality Clothing: Rodd & Gunn are known for their timeless garments. They make everything from tailored shirts and high-quality knitwear, to well-constructed trousers and jeans.
Classic Style: You can expect to find classic polo shirts, Italian leather shoes, stylish accessories, and even bespoke leather luggage.
A Bit of Luxury: They aim to make your visit memorable, with a bit of Kiwi hospitality.
Sustainability: They aim to make sustainable, low-impact garments.
It looks like Rodd & Gunn is going to bringing to York quality menswear that's made to last, which I like the sound of, so I will be paying them a visit (supervised) when they open.
