Fancy a Free Breakfast? Chef & Brewer Pubs across Yorkshire Are Serving Up Breakfast in exchange for your Steps
York, it’s time to lace up your walking boots for a Christmas walk and get ready to start your mornings with a banger—and by “banger,” we mean sausage, not Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus. This winter, you can earn yourself a delicious free breakfast just by going for a stroll in the Yorkshire countryside—and showing proof that you actually did it (no, a leisurely scroll through Instagram doesn’t count). If you are looking for an excuse to get outdoors during the Christmas season, this is it.
What’s the Deal?
From December 27 until the end of January, Chef & Brewer pubs are offering free breakfasts to anyone who’s worked up an appetite walking. All you need to do is:
1. Show your step count to the pub staff to prove you’ve been stretching those legs.
2. Say the magic codeword: “AllTrails.”
3. Try not to smirk too much as they bring you your complimentary plate of happiness.
Alternatively, if you’d rather skip the step-tracking drama, just download the AllTrails app. Show the app to staff, and voilà—free breakfast is yours.
When Can You Get It?
Mark your calendar and set your alarm because this free breakfast deal is only available between 9am and 11:30am on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. So yes, you’ll have to peel yourself out of bed, but with free bacon as a reward, we think it’s worth it.
What’s on the Menu?
Your hard-earned breakfast could include a hearty full English, with all the sausages, eggs, and hash browns you can handle, or lighter options like pastries and granola if you’re feeling virtuous (or still full from Christmas leftovers). Either way, your morning’s about to get a lot tastier.
Why You Should Care
It’s a win-win situation: a chance to explore Yorkshires scenic trails, burn off those festive indulgences, and then immediately replace those calories with a breakfast that’s on the house. Plus, if you’re new to walking, AllTrails makes it ridiculously easy to find the perfect route. You’ll be an amateur hiker (and professional breakfast eater) in no time.
Where to Go?
Find your nearest Chef & Brewer pub, hit the trails, and then hit the table. With plenty of pubs across Yorkshire, you won’t have to venture far to claim your prize. Just don’t forget to show off your steps—or that freshly downloaded AllTrails app.
