Avocado Envy Café, York, UK
York’s New Hotspot in Blake Street may make other restaurants green with envy
Move over toast, there’s a new avocado sheriff in town and his name is Michael Brett. Thanks to Michael, Blake Street is set to welcome Avocado Envy, a café so dedicated to everyone’s favorite superfruit that it might just make you question why you’ve been eating anything else. Forget basic brunch—this place is here to make every meal an avocado masterpiece.
What’s on the Menu?
If it’s avocado-based, you’ll find it here. We’re talking classic avo toast, guacamole so good it deserves its own fan club, and innovative creations like avocado smoothies, burgers topped with smashed avocado, and possibly some dishes that’ll make you say, “Wait, you can put avocado on that?” The answer is yes. Yes, you can.
Why Blake Street?
Blake Street is basically York’s brunch HQ, so it makes sense that Avocado Envy would set up shop here. The vibe? A little chic, a little cheeky, and a lot Instagrammable. Expect artisan coffee (supplied by local company York Emporium and Avocado Envy will have its own roastery) and a crowd of people debating whether this is finally the place that justifies spending £8 on toast. Spoiler alert: it probably is.
For the Avo-Lovers and the Curious
Whether you’re a die-hard avocado fan who insists it belongs on everything, or you’re just here to see what all the fuss is about, Avocado Envy has something for everyone. And if you don’t like avocados (gasp!), fear not—they’ve got options for you including burgers and home made breads. But seriously, give the guac a chance.
Final Slice of Toast
Avocado Envy is set to open in early January 2025 and will hopefully become York’s favourite place for healthy-but-totally-indulgent fruit. Whether you’re grabbing brunch, snapping pics for the ’Gram, or just looking to settle the great avocado debate once and for all, this could be the place to be. Blake Street, your brunch game just got a serious upgrade. York, you’re smashing it (literally).
